About the Artist

Aishling Hennessy is an Abstract Expressionist Painter and Digital Artist from County Laois, Ireland.

Her work blends dreamlike washes with organic forms and gestured mark making. Her work is inspired by her emotions, the ethereal and the Earth.

Graduating with BA (Honors) in Fine Art from Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in 2004 specializing in Paint. Aishling went on to complete her Higher Diploma in Art for Art, Craft and Design Teachers from Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork in 2007.

Since 2007, Aishling has worked as a Youth Arts Worker, freelance as a Community Arts Facilitator and Art Teacher.

Aishling is establishing herself back to where her roots began. In Visual Art.

Aishling has exhibited her work in Solo Exhibitions and many group shows throughout Ireland over the past decade. She has commissioned many pieces for private collectors in Ireland and abroad.

  1. Hi Aishling: I met you and your daughter on a plane coming from Tenerife. You were so open and friendly that I wondered, and I still wonder, if you were/ are from some place where there are no boundaries and walls to human social communication. I love your paintings and also your projects for children which you told me all about. You are a free moving spirit and I will not forget our brief spell talking together. (like I said on planes I usually end up sitting alone in a bubble)
